If things go as planned, then this year’s Kumbh Mela in Nashik, where millions are expected to congregate, may turn out to be much saner event than usual.

A group of techies from Maharashtra are taking much pain to find out solutions to probable challenges, including thousands getting lost in the crowd during the Kumbhmela.

A group of 15 techies led by Sunil Khandbahale, a Nashik-based innovator, joined hands with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) about a year ago and started KumbhaThon — primarily created to address Kumbh-specific problems.
